Achrazoglou
Dr. John Achrazoglou, director of the Education Technology
Center at The University of Iowa College of Education, volunteers each year with the Iowa First Nations Summer Program.
Iowa First Nations is a three-week residential life science program for Native American high school students. This
program, which has been operating at
The University of Iowa for almost 20 years, focuses on the
environment, the health sciences, and the relationship between science
and Native American cultures. Technology is an integral part of this program.
Dr. Achrazoglou teaches students to apply technology to their regular
coursework and to develop computer presentations about their research
projects. Additionally, Dr. Achrazoglou volunteers as a member of the Board
of Directors for Women in Science and Engineering (WISE).
