John Achrazoglou

Dr. John Achrazoglou, director of the Education Technology Center at The University of Iowa College of Education, volunteers each year with the Iowa First Nations Summer Program. Iowa First Nations is a three-week residential life science program for Native American high school students. This program, which has been operating at The University of Iowa for almost 20 years, focuses on the environment, the health sciences, and the relationship between science and Native American cultures. Technology is an integral part of this program. Dr. Achrazoglou teaches students to apply technology to their regular coursework and to develop computer presentations about their research projects. Additionally, Dr. Achrazoglou volunteers as a member of the Board of Directors for Women in Science and Engineering (WISE).
